Do I need to be a Colorado Resident?
You are required to reside in Colorado, and the easiest way to show your residency is to have a Colorado State ID or Driver’s License. If you live in Colorado but still have an Out of State Driver’s License/ID, you can apply with a Residency Waiver, but be advised that the State may still reject your application and request that you obtain your Driver’s License/ID before re-applying. This only applies to first time applicants, renewal applicants do not apply.
